The dutch-swiss soprano Sarah Kollé was born in Zurich, Switzerland. She studied in Zurich and Leipzig and finished her Meisterklasse degree at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig in 2021 with distinction. Sarah Kollé is very much interested in contemporary music and took part in the Darmstädter Ferientage für Neue Musik where she studied with Donatienne Michel-Dansac.

 

From 2014 till 2016 she was a member of the Schweizer Opernstudio at the Theater Biel/Solothurn. There she performed various roles, including Emmeline (Die Schweizerfamilie, Weigl), Despina (Cosi fan tutte, Mozart), Serpina (La serva padrone, Pergolesi), Lucy (The telephone, Menotti) andMorgana (Alcina, Händel) as well as a concert at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao(Streichquartett Nr.2, Schönberg). In the season 2015/16 she made her debut at the Theater Biel/Solothurn with the role of Oberto (Händel, Alcina).

 

In the season 2016/17 she performed the role of Woglinde (Das Rheingold, Wagner)in a studio version, appeared in the Kurt-Weill Fest with the Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5 (Villa-Lobos). In June 2016 she performed the role of Sie (Minibar, Daigger)with the Junge Noddeutsche Philarmonie. 2018 amongst other things she performed as Hanne (Die Jahreszeiten, Haydn)and as Sesto (Giulio Cesare, Händel) at Theater Nordhausen and Theater Dessau.In 2019 she appeared amongst others as Pamina/1.Dame(Die Zauberflöte, Mozart), Rosmene (Imeneo, G.F.Händel), Die Schöpfung (J.Haydn), Mozart Requiem and Sandmännchen/Taumännchen (Hänsel und Gretel, E.Humperdinck).

 

Sarah Kollé was a finalist in the 30. Dostal Operettenwettbewerb in Vienna and took part in masterclasses with Valérie Guillorit, Peter Berne (Belcanto), Regina Werner-Dietrich and Edda Moser. She is scholarship holder of the DOMS Stiftung and the Stiftung Ruth und Ernst Burkhalter in Zurich.
